Hiya, Connie!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is just a few weeks away –– you'll be making magical memories with your daughter and granddaughter before you know it! If you're a shopper like me, you'll definitely want to check out the
50th Anniversary Celebration merchandise collections during your trip.
The Vault Collection is my favorite –– with retro-themed items and collectibles, it makes me feel like I'm right back at Opening Day 1971. So far, the best spot I've seen to find this collection is the
Celebrity 5&10 shop at Disney's Hollywood Studios, so if you're planning to visit the park, be sure to stop by and check it out.
It's so thoughtful of you to purchase tickets for your family, Connie. If you ask me, that makes you both a grandma
and a fairy godmother! As a Florida Resident, you'll be able to
purchase Florida Resident tickets for yourself and anyone under the age of 18 (even if they don't live in Florida). That means if your granddaughter is 17 or younger, you're welcome to purchase Walt Disney World theme park admission for her at those specially-discounted rates. Assuming that your daughter is over 18, you can still purchase admission for her, but it would need to be a
standard ticket for non-Florida Residents.
Keep in mind that you'll also need to verify your Florida Residency to use your ticket the first time. If you have a Florida driver's license, state-issued ID card, or Florida-based military ID you can verify your residency online before you arrive, but you'll still need to provide in-person proof of residency to activate your granddaughter's ticket. If you don't have a valid Florida ID, you can also show proof of a Florida residential address by
presenting an approved document at any Walt Disney World
Guest Relations location or theme park ticketing window.
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, Connie. I hope your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort is filled with magic for you and your family!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
