My daughter and grandchildren and I will be going to WDW in Oct 2015. We will be staying at the art of animation hotel. Which building is the quietest? Thank you.

Hey there Pat, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is so much fun! Your grandkids will just love it. Since this resort is geared to young families, there is definitely a lot of activity going on most of the time. I think your best bet is to try to get a room facing away from the Big Blue Pool or the resort courtyards with the large character figures.

On one of our past visits here, we stayed in a room that overlooked Hourglass Lake and the jogging trail. This location seemed to be much quieter than the inside-facing rooms. Buildings 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 all have sections that face the lake.

One of my favorite resources for information on Walt Disney World Resort hotels is AllEars.net. From their home page, click on "Walt Disney World," then "Accommodations," and scroll to "Art of Animation" in the list on the left of the page. There you'll find detailed descriptions, photos, video tours and a resort map. Take a look at the map to find a room location that might work for your family. Do note that specific requests can't be guaranteed, but in my experience the Cast Members will do their best to help you.

Thanks for stopping by today, Pat. I hope this information helps you make your plans. Wishing you a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
