Hi, Audrey! Welcome to planDisney!
You must be so excited to have your daughter and grandchildren coming for a visit. Nothing lifts the spirit like spending time with your favorite people at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Getting
discounts on tickets to Walt Disney World is a great perk of living in the Sunshine State, isn’t it? Disney’s policy in regard to Florida Resident tickets is that each adult planning to use them must provide
proof of Florida residency before the tickets can be used to enter a theme park. That means you wouldn’t be able to purchase a Florida Resident ticket for your daughter, but you could buy them for your grandchildren if they’re under 18. You’d just need to be with them to buy the tickets and show your Florida ID, and then you’re ready for family fun!
One quick note - there’s no Florida resident discount on 1-Day tickets, so you wouldn’t need proof of residency if you only plan to spend one day in the parks.
And Audrey, remember that you’ll also need to make Disney Park Pass theme park reservations for everyone in your family before you visit. To do that, just link your tickets to a
free My Disney Experience account, and check the
Availability Calendar for the dates you’re planning to visit. Then you can follow the prompts on the
Disney Park Pass page on the Walt Disney World website to make your reservations.
I hope this helps you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World with your family, Audrey. Please come back and see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
