Hiya Karen,
Welcome to planDisney! First off, you are a truly magical grandparent! If this is your grandchildren’s first trip to Walt Disney World, I highly recommend taking them to ride
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. It is fun for all ages and one of my favorite new attractions. If they are Star Wars fans, a trip to
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge should definitely be added to your itinerary. My family and I always have a blast living as Jedi and exploring Batuu together. No matter what you decide to do, your grandchildren are going to have an unforgettable Walt Disney World Vacation making memories with you.
To answer your question, any Guest under the age of 17 is not required to show proof of Florida Residency to activate
Florida Resident Theme Park tickets. This means you will be able to purchase your grandchildren’s Theme Park tickets online. You will only need to make sure that you verify your
Florida residency for your ticket. If you are purchasing Theme Park tickets for your daughter, she will need to have a
non-Florida resident four-day Theme Park ticket (unless she is a Florida Resident as well).
Once you’ve purchased all of your tickets, don’t forget to reserve your
Disney Park Pass Reservations for your trip dates. You need both a valid Theme Park ticket and a Park Pass Reservation to visit the four Theme Parks.
I hope you all have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort as a family. If there are any other questions I can answer about your upcoming trip or in the future, please let me know.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
