Jambo, Jennifer! Thanks so much for your question. Congratulations to your daughter! I think that a celebratory Walt Disney World vacation sounds perfect for the occasion. Disney's Animal Kingdom is my absolute favorite park, and there are so many great special things that you can do for your daughter that relates specifically to her field of study. I think that the Animal Kingdom park in general is a great way to see animals and learn about their habitats and what is being done to conserve them. In fact, a visit to the
Conservation Station would be a great opportunity for your daughter to go behind the scenes and see how handlers prepare food for the animals, and even get a glimpse of the veterinary treatment room where the park's vets care for the animals. After this, you can surprise her with a
Backstage Tales tour where you can actually take a tour of the veterinary hospital, the animal nutrition center, and even see the backstage animal housing areas. You can then take a stroll on the Maharajah Jungle Trek and Pangani Forest Exploration Trail to see many of the different animals that call Animal Kingdom home. I was just at Disney's Animal Kingdom on the Pangani Trail this past weekend and saw two new baby gorillas! It was the highlight of my trip for sure.
I hope this gives you some ideas, and if you need anything else please let us know and we'd be happy to help. Kwa heri, Jennifer, and have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
