My daughter has gone with me to Disney World in the past. She is now on her own and has scheduled a trip this summer using her own account. Is there a way to transfer her magic band from my account to hers so she doesn't have to pay to activate it?

    Hi Pamela,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

I assume that, if your daughter is on her own, that she is now over the age of 18. If so, then I would “invite” her to set up her own My Disney Experience account. I did something similar for one of my friends - I had managed her account for her first visit to Walt Disney World Resort and then she decided to plan a visit on her own. In order to let her have control over her own account, I went into the “Friends and Family” section of My Disney Experience, and clicked on “Connect through a Disney Account”. I put in her email address, and then, when she received the email invitation, she created her Disney account and was able to manage her tickets & passes, as well as the MagicBand that had been previously associated with her account.

If you run into any issues with this process, please don’t hesitate to contact Walt Disney World Resort, and ask for technical assistance with your My Disney Experience account.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
