Greetings, Lisa!
Wow! With a heart like that, your daughter must be a true Disney princess. It is very thoughtful of her to worry about her favorite Disney pals and want to make sure that they know just how appreciated they are. Kudos to her!
I did a little checking to make sure and was able to confirm that unfortunately, they aren't able to accept food of any kind from Guests. I definitely don't want to discourage her kind gesture, so perhaps your princess could draw a picture to share with the character or make a thank you note to present to them during her interaction. While the characters won't accept more than a hug, I have seen their handlers take such items from a child for safekeeping. (Please be aware that it is up to the discretion of each Cast Member whether or not to accept the gift.)
Another way to encourage her kindness is by recognizing exceptional Cast Members through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. While in the app, if you press the three little lines in the bottom right corner and scroll almost to the bottom, you'll see "
Cast Compliment." Here, you can select how they went above and beyond, what location and if you have the information--their name, hometown and date of your interaction. These special thank-you messages do get back to the Cast Members and mean an awful lot to them.
Have an incredible
Walt Disney World Resort visit, Lisa! Please tell your daughter hello from all of us here at planDisney and thank you for taking such good care of our favorite Disney friends! If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
