My daughter will be getting Disney Gift cards from Walmart for her bday. We are in Ontario. Will she be able to use them during the trip to WDW? and how will this work since they will be in Canadian Funds?

    Hi Tara,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

I’ve used gift cards purchased in Canada during almost all of my Disney Parks vacations and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how easy they are to use. Disney Gift Cards purchased in Canada can absolutely be used at the Disney Parks just like ones purchased in the United States.

The only difference between a Canadian and an American Disney Gift Card is that your daughter will have to pay the the day’s exchange rate when she redeems them during her upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. If she has any questions about her gift card’s value, she can ask a Cast Member at a merchandise location to scan it and they’ll be able to tell her how much money in U.S. Dollars is available for her to spend.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
