My daughter and I have had a gastric bypass. My husband has had the lap band. My question is concerning reservations and using table service credits. Are they considered 'admission' to the character meals? Typically we share plates when we eat out.

Hi, Cheryl! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Most Character Dining Experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort are buffets or family style meals, meaning that they are all you care to eat. There is not individual entrees that can be ordered, and therefore there is not a way to be able to share a meal. Each individual would be charged one or two Table-Service credits when dining at these locations using the Disney Dining Plan. Please consult the Disney Dining Plan guide to know how many Table-Service credits are required for each restaurant. You could explain your situation to your server at the restaurant once you arrive, however from my personal experiences I do not believe they would be able to allow meal sharing at these locations.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Cheryl!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
