My daughter and her friends want to go to Disney World for their senior trip. They will only be 18. Will she be able to make a reservation/check in?

    Hi Celeste,

How wonderful to know that your daughter and friends will be celebrating their upcoming graduation at Walt Disney World Resort. Awesome!

To make a reservation at a Disney Resort hotel, be it room-only, or a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, you must be 18 years of age. This means that it would need to be on your daughter's name, or on one of her friend's name. And make sure you add all those that will be staying in the room, and the corresponding ages at time of travel.

Although the Resort hotel accepts many forms of payments, including cash, I would suggest she either brings Disney Gift Cards, or has her own credit card. A great one to have is one of the Disney Visa Cards from Chase, which has awesome benefits including exclusive meet and greets, and awesome Disney and Star Wars card designs. I carry Darth Vader in my pocket. Impressive... Most Impressive...

One last tip: I'm sure they'll like to celebrate with a nice dinner, so make sure they make advanced dining reservations up to 180 days in advance. The easiest way is with the My Disney Experience mobile app. See you real soon!
