Hi my daughter and I have food intolerances are we able to bring sandwiches into the park?

    Hello Jacqueline,

Welcome to planDisney! It is wonderful to hear from you. I hope you are having a magical time planning your Walt Disney World Resort visit. It will be here before you know it!

I am pleased to inform you that you are able to take nonalcoholic drinks and food items into the theme parks with you. You must make sure that they are not in glass containers and "do not require heating, reheating, processing, refrigeration or temperature control and do not have pungent odors." You will want to make the security team aware of any items at the park entrance. You are also allowed to bring a cooler, but it must fit within the size requirements and loose ice is not allowed, so you will want to have reusable ice packs or ice in zipper-top bags.

Walt Disney World Resort is extremely accommodating to those with special dietary requirements. You can request to speak with a chef or a special diets-trained Cast Member at most table-service and select quick-service restaurants. Even at the popcorn stands, I have been able to ask to see the ingredient list to make sure it was okay to eat. The Cast Members are very helpful and will be able to recommend items for you based on your needs.

Enjoy your vacation, Jacqueline! Please come see us again soon if you have any other Disney planning questions we can assist you with.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Meet the Panelist: Lauren, Colorado

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
