Hi there, Bretagne!
I am so glad that you reached out to planDisney! We have many food allergies in our family, and I know how challenging it is to find safe, preferred food when traveling. I am beyond thankful that our family has safely eaten at Walt Disney World Resort countless times!
Since menu items and ingredient lists are often modified, I recommend contacting the
Special Diets team to find specific information about those allergies between 10-14 days before your arrival date. In the meantime, our family has enjoyed snacks in the past that may meet your needs. Always check ingredient lists before purchasing food, as ingredients can change at any time.
Frozen Minute Maid Lemonade and Frozen Raspberry Lemonade are my kids' favorite treats when it is hot at Walt Disney World (and I always steal a bite or two!). They can usually be found in all four theme parks at many quick-service restaurants and food carts. Specific locations can be found by searching for the lemonades on the
My Disney Experience app using the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the homepage.
Popcorn and cotton candy are other favorite allergy-friendly snacks that can be found in most of the theme parks. We used to avoid the popcorn until we discovered it is usually milk allergy-friendly! Fruit, chips, Partake cookies, and Surf Sweets candy are also good choices in most of the theme parks.
Like your family, we also enjoy the Pineapple DOLE Whip Cup (the Vanilla DOLE WHIP typically contains casein) at
Aloha Isle and
Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom Park, as well as the Blue Milk at the
Milk Stand in Disney's Hollywood Studios. One of my kids prefers the Green Milk, and the other likes the Blue Milk. I am definitely Team Blue Milk! Both are plant-based beverages made with coconut and rice milk.
During our last trip, we discovered an extra special treat - the Night Blossom at
Pongu Pongu in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This delicious beverage is made with apple and desert pear limeade topped with boba balls, and when we went, it was allergy-friendly for the Top 9 allergens! My kids loved it!
Speaking of food, my family makes it a priority to order food from
Woody's Lunch Box in Disney's Hollywood Studios. They often have a Kids' Grilled Cheese and a Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich with Potato Barrels that are delicious and allergy-friendly! They also enjoy the Allergy-Friendly Chicken Strips at
Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom Park. With more than one food allergy, I always recommend ordering your food in person (not on the app) and preferably during less busy times. For example, we may have lunch at 11 AM and dinner at 4:00 PM. Allergy-friendly meals often take longer to prepare, and I want to avoid having "hangry" kids!
Bretagne, I hope this information was helpful. If you have other questions,
I am happy to help! Have a wonderful, tasty trip to Walt Disney World Resort!
Wishing you a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
Jen
