Hi there, Alicia. Welcome to planDisney.
I'm happy to hear you are planning a family vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Yay! I'm so excited for you. One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is that they honestly think of everything. They take food allergies very seriously, and I'm happy to help you with a few tips.
Before your trip, you'll want to contact the
Disney Special Diets team. These amazing individuals can help address your specific dietary needs, and the link above provides helpful tips and information to prepare for your visit. I hope this link will answer many of your questions. At each table service restaurant, you will be asked about any allergies before placing your order, and the staff is VERY attentive and will take your daughter's allergy seriously.
Another helpful tip is to review the menus online before your visit. For instance, at
Contempo Café, if you scroll down to the bottom of the menu, you will find items labeled "Peanut/Tree Nut Allergy-Friendly." At quick-service and snack locations, you can also request a label or list of ingredients.
Of course, you are welcome to bring your own food items into the parks, as long as they comply with the Walt Disney World
property rules. And make sure to carry your food allergy medication and take note of the nearest
First Aid center in each park.
Alicia, as much as I would love to recommend specific foods and restaurants for you, I'm not trained to know your daughter's specific needs, and I'd hate to suggest something your daughter might need to avoid. I suggest first talking to the Disney Special Diets team. Then, you are, of course, welcome to come back to us with specific food items and restaurants that are safe, and we'll be happy to share our favorites and make all the delicious recommendations!
Be sure to follow us on
Instagram for fun vacation tips, and I hope you'll visit us again.
Wishing you happy memories, magical smiles, and delicious foods!
