My Daughter is 10, and this will be her first visit to WDW this upcoming January. I know it will be wonderful, but can anyone make any special recommendation for her? We will be staying at the Port Orleans Resort . Thank you

    Hi Jay,

What a thoughtful dad you are!  I am sure your daughter's first trip to Walt Disney World will be very special.  I have a tween at home too and he simply loves the family time we spend together there.

Be sure to stop by the Guest Services desk at the first Disney theme park you enter.  They'll give your daughter a complimentary "first visit" button.  When Cast Members see her button, they'll be sure to shower her with extra special attention.

Also, take your tween to a grown-up dining experience at one of Disney's fabulous signature dining restaurants.  For example, call (407) WDW-DINE right away to book a table at the California Grill atop Disney's Contemporary Resort.  You and your daughter can enjoy a scrumptious meal in an elegant atmosphere while you watch the Wishes fireworks off in the distance.  This is just one of the fabulous restaurants you could try.

Another favorite way to make a Walt Disney World vacation extra special is to book a fireworks cruise.  If you call (407) WDW-PLAY you can book a private watercraft for you and your daughter.  That is a truly magical experience that she'll never forget.

Let us know, Jay, if you need additional suggestions.  We've got plenty!
