I want to take my daughter to Fantasmic the night of her birthday. On March 23. We will be staying at Port Orleans during our stay. How can I make it special and get tickets so we're closer to the front? I don't want to dine to get special tickets.

    Hi Colleen!

Wow, what an awesome way to celebrate your daughter's birthday. I absolutely love the Fantasmic show at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Don't laugh, but when I started to read your question, I caught myself humming the song that plays at the end of the performance. I can't confirm or deny this, but I may have been tapping my foot as well. (What can I say, it's a catchy tune!)

As for your question about getting tickets - the only seats in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater that require a ticket are those in the section reserved for the Fantasmic Dinner Package.  So, it's first-come, first-serve for all other sections of the amphitheater. (The reserved section is off to the far right-hand side of the amphitheater, not front and center like some people might assume.)

So, if you're looking to get seats close the "stage," all you'll have to do is make sure you get in line early so you can have the best chances of getting the seats you like. If the park is crowded that day, you might want to get in line at least an hour before the show. That may sound like a lot of time, but it'll be well worth the investment.

If I may offer a quick word of caution - guests who sit in the first few rows may get a little wet during the performance. I'm not talking about Splash Mountain wet, but depending on the winds, you may get wet enough to be uncomfortable if you're wearing nice clothes to celebrate your daughter's birthday.

I hope that helps! If you should have any further questions as you finalize your plans, please feel free to write back and let me know. I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Derek
