How ya doin' Matthew and welcome to planDisney!
I'm so happy to hear that you've got a big beautiful family vacation planned at the Walt Disney World Resort. Y'all are going to have a wonderful time with 3 generations of your family together making the most beautiful memories. I see big fun in your future. Y'all seem to have even made the smart choice to link yourselves via the
Family & Friends List so that y'all can plan your vacation together. But how does being linked affect your trip? I'll gladly share with you what I know.
Making
Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System is a vital part of planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. You'll need to make these reservations in addition to having a
Theme Park Ticket. For example, once you and your wife have purchased your 2 5-day tickets, you'll then need to reserve your entry for the park you'd like to visit on each of the 5 days you'll be there. If your daughter decides to go ahead and make Theme Park Reservations for those in her part of the travel party this won't affect you and your wife at all. She'll be able to choose the specific members of her party from the Family & Friends List.
Pro-tip: Do make sure that you and your wife go ahead and make your own Theme Park Reservations. Even if your plans are a little different from the rest of the group, you do want to lock them in so you'll be able to enter the parks at all.
Matthew, I hope I was able to clear up any confusion you may have had. If you think of any other questions before the big trip, just come back and
ask me. I'll gladly put you on the right track!
Happy planning!
Taylor
