Hi Tova! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your question made my heart soar!
Just when I think that celebrating a vacation at my happy place couldn’t get better, completing your last round of chemotherapy right before you arrive makes this trip even more spectacular! As an oncology nurse by day, and from all of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel we want to be the first to congratulate you! Going through a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and then beginning a "new life" of sorts is nothing short of amazing!
First I would stop at a guest services location and pick up an “I’m Celebrating” pin. Next I would grab a pair of Mickey Ears and have them embroidered with “Survivor” in the color that represents your type of cancer. Wear them with pride!
I would also reserve a special place to have a celebratory dinner. My top pick would be
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Villiage Resort, but I would also look into California Grill, or
Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot. Celebrate with a beverage and make sure to order dessert!
Make sure to take time out for some rest and relaxation. Maybe a pedicure or massage at Senses - A Disney Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is just the bit of pampering you need.
My final recommendation is something that money can’t buy, and that is just soaking all of the magic in. Hug your daughter tight during Wishes nighttime spectacular, become Princess Tova while riding the Prince Charming Regal Carousel, snap that coveted picture with Mickey Mouse, and just become a kid again. Remember that feeling of being on top of the world because friend in my opinion, that is exactly where you are!
Sending you love and hugs! Have the most magical time!
