My daughter and I are doing the Animal Trek tour at Animal Kingdom at 8am. Park doesn’t open until 9am. How do we go about getting into the park and what information do I need to have to go on the tour. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Kristie,

Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Wild Africa Trek is my absolute favourite tour at Walt Disney World Resort.  I love how close we are to the animals, and the guides are absolutely fantastic!

Given that the tour starts prior to Park opening, you will need to look for a Cast Member at the front of Disney's Animal Kingdom.  When we did the tour, there were Cast Members with Wild Africa Trek signs waiting for us at the entrance to Disney's Animal Kingdom.  The Cast Members will check to make sure your reservation is in order and once all of the guests have arrived, they will escort you to the beginning of the tour. I would suggest bringing your confirmation number for the Cast Members, just in case.

I would recommend wearing comfortable closed toe shoes and light clothing, as the harness can get warm.  You will be given everything that you need during the tour, including water and lunch.  The guides will even take care of photos so don't worry about bringing a camera or phone, they will make sure you have the photo memories of the entire tour.

I hope you have an incredible time on your tour, Kristie.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
