Hi Julie,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting for your daughter and her school band to have the opportunity to travel to the Walt Disney World Resort! I'm also excited you and her dad will be able to visit at the same time. Hopefully you will be able to spend some time together at the parks, even if you aren't staying at the same
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.
Like you, I adore
Memory Maker and won't travel to the parks without it. I have so many wonderful memories that have been captured by
Disney PhotoPass photographers. I have good news for you. As long as you and your daughter are linked as Family & Friends in
My Disney Experience you will be able to download her photos. She will need to be sure she scans her
MagicBand, park ticket, or Disney PhotoPass card.
The one possible glitch in this is because she is traveling with a school group. To make their jobs easier, some schools create a new My Disney Experience account for each student. Usually, this account is managed by one of the chaperones. Fortunately, the remedy is simple. In this case, your daughter will need to get a Disney PhotoPass card from one of the photographers. The card is free and can be scanned by each photographer and at many attractions. You would simply add the Disney PhotoPass card to your My Disney Experience and then you would be able to download the photos.
Julie, thank you for visiting us with another great question. As you plan your next adventure I hope you'll let us know if you have any more questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
