Hi there, Maureen!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I'm so excited to hEAR you have purchased the
Disney Dining Plan for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! I believe you will find the Disney Dining Plan to be super convenient and flexible.
Unfortunately, the Disney Dining Plan is unavailable to children under the age of 3. At
Character Dining experiences and all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations, your 2-year-old can have her own plate and will not be charged. I took my four kiddos to all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations many times before they were 3-years-old, and they were always given their own plate and not charged. At traditional Table-Service and Quick-Service restaurants, your daughter will not be charged when sharing from your plate. If you feel the amount of food is not adequate for the two of you or if your daughter prefers something off the children's menu, you are more than welcome to order additional items and pay out-of-pocket for them.
I hope this information is helpful with your meal planning, Maureen. Let us know if you have any new questions or would like dining recommendations. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!
Bon Appétit,
Jodie
