So my Daughter and I will be going on our 1st Disney Cruise in April and I was wondering if at any of the Ports of Call we can Swim with Dolphins? Would like to make these arrangements if possible ahead of time. We'er going on a 3night Bahamian Cruise.

    Hi Susan,

Your question couldn't possibly be more timely!  I will be taking my son on his first Disney Cruise this year and we, too, are looking to book an interactive dolphin experience as a port excursion in Nassau.  There are two possible options if you want to interact with the dolphins.  If your child is ten or older, you and she could book the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Deep Water Swim.  The dolphin interaction takes place in a small group (a maximum of 6 guests) and you get the opportunity to swim and snorkel along with the dolphins.  The other option is the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Shallow Water Adventure.  Your daughter need only be three or older to take part in this experience with you.  You will not venture beyond waste-deep water in this program.  After your encounter with the dolphins, you would then specify whether you would like to explore Atlantis' new waterscape, Aquaventure, or you can discover other features of the Atlantis Resort on your own.  (You specify your choice when you sign up for your port excursion).  Whether you sign up to meet the dolphins at Dolphin Cay in deep or shallow water, these encounters sure sound exciting!

Since you are sailing on the Dream this April, I suggest you go to www.disneycruiseline.com and sign up today for your port excursion.  Spots in these programs are limited and you don't want to miss signing up for your first choice adventure.  After you enter your reservation number and login, select "my cruise plans," and then scroll down to "reserve activities."  Click on the "excursion" button and the options will be there for you to select.  Nice detailed descriptions of each activity are available there, as well.

I just returned from the christening cruise on the Disney Dream, and I can guarantee you will fall in love with this beautiful ship.  I hope you and your daughter have the time of a lifetime swimming with the dolphins!
