Hi Monica!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! My kids are young now, so I am managing their Disney plans. But I’m a little excited about when they can create their own accounts and help make plans with me! Now, if they try taking a Disney vacation without me, that’s another story. I’m not ready for that day to come!
If there are duplicate profiles for a Guest, they can actually be merged into one! You may see a notification on your Family & Friends List that your list contains a duplicate profile. It will show both profiles, and you’ll have the opportunity to compare them before choosing which one you want to keep as the main account. You’ll want to keep the one your daughter controls, so she can maintain her own profile. Any existing reservations, plans, tickets, MagicBand+, and Disney PhotoPass photos will be transferred into one profile.
If you don’t see this notification on your Family & Friends List, your daughter can call the “
App and MagicBand Support” phone number so a Cast Member can assist in merging the profiles. You may receive an email asking you to confirm the merge, since you manage one of the profiles.
As I mentioned, once the profiles are merged, you have one more person who can help make Disney vacation plans! My family usually designates one or two people who are responsible for booking dining reservations and Lightning Lanes for everyone. We still manage to make a few surprise plans for each other on occasion, too!
I hope this helps, Monica! I hope you and your daughter are planning a Disney vacation together soon! If so, we’d love to help you with any other questions at
planDisney.
