Our daughter is disabled…in a motorized wheelchair, so limited as to what we can do at Disney World. The parades are what she enjoys most at Disney! Are the parades back at the Magic Kingdom? If so, are they on certain days/times?

Hey there Cecilia and welcome to planDisney!

Pixie Dust is one of the most powerful substances in the world. Anyone with faith, trust, and a wonderful thought can use it to fly. Let's get your daughter flying at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is making its return to Magic Kingdom Park on March 9th. If this is a little too late for your trip, don't worry, the amazing character Cavalcades are just the thing to set your daughter soaring. Several times throughout the course of a Disney day, floats carrying various characters, dancers, and friends will make their way through Magic Kingdom Park. Your daughter can enjoy the music and fun from her own magic carpet like the princess that she is. And the best part is you can check the times right in your My Disney Experience app! Just open the app on your phone and tap the Location symbol at the bottom of the screen. It will take you to a map of the Walt Disney World Resort. Tap the drop-down bar at the top of the screen and change the settings from Wait Times to Entertainment. Tapping the Magic Hat icon right over the 50th symbol on Cinderella Castle will show you the Showtimes for all the action. And the best part is your daughter won't have to just see one parade, she can see lots of them all day! Be sure to catch the new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade that just rolled for the first time the other day.

Pro tip: Listen up, literally! If you happen to be just minding your business on Main Street U.S.A. and you hear really loud music that is super uncharacteristic of turn of the century midwestern America get ready because a cavalcade is coming!

Cecilia, I hope I've helped to make your dreams for your daughter come true today. If you have any more questions please feel free to visit us any time here at planDisney.

    Safe travels!
