i have a daughter with a disability. she has physical/mental disability where waiting in line is going to be challenging physically as well as mentally challenging.

Hi Nami! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

The Disneyland Resort is dedicated to being a welcoming and accessible experience for all guests, and to that end, they offer many services and accommodations that help make the experience magical for Guests with disabilities. I've visited the parks with family and friends who used these services and accommodations, and we've always found they made a real difference in navigating our vacations together.

There are a variety of guides and services you can check out prior to your arrival. For example, my uncle found the Sensory Experiences Details guide to be useful in deciding which Attractions or Entertainment might be better skipped due to triggering lights or sounds. Take your time to look over the information on the site. This will help you feel prepared and ready to enjoy your time together.

Additionally, Disneyland Resort currently offers Disability Access Services (DAS) to support Guests with certain developmental disabilities, who have difficulty waiting in a traditional queue. You can set up a video chat or speak with a Cast Member on-site at the Accessibility Services Kiosk in the Esplanade to determine whether your daughter is eligible. Your daughter will need to be present for this chat. During your conversation with a friendly Cast Member, you also can discuss other services or tools that might be helpful throughout your day.

DAS works at this time by allowing the Guest to select a return time for Attractions. While waiting to redeem your return time, you can enjoy other aspects of the park, such as finding a peaceful space to relax and enjoy a snack. Return time selection is done using the handy Disneyland mobile app. If granted, DAS covers the Guest and up to three additional members of their party so you can select return times as a group. The DAS Guest must be present and ride to redeem a return time at an Attraction.

Being familiar with the functions of the app is another great way to prepare for a day of fun. There's nothing worse than fumbling with an app when you are with family and want to be fully engaged. Take the time to download and play around in the app to find its useful functions like checking wait times, locating Characters, and mobile ordering food and beverages, which is a real timesaver.

    I hope this helps!
