I have a daughter with a disability she is going to be 6 in may and I would like to take her to Disneyland, she can't say more then a few words but she knows what she likes is there a way to at least meet some characters when we go. She loves Goffie

Hi there, Gilberto, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you hEAR, and I’d love to help you plan for your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate your daughter’s sixth birthday than at the Happiest Place on Earth! Meeting some of your daughter’s favorite Characters is going to bring so much happiness to you both… I get giddy just thinking about it! I want to let you know that the Disneyland Resort does an amazing job of making sure all Guests feel comfortable, including Guests with disabilities. If your daughter could benefit from special assistance during your visit, I recommend stopping by Guest Relations upon arrival in Disneyland Park (at City Hall) or Disney California Adventure Park (at Chamber of Commerce). At Guest Relations, you can chat with a Cast Member about how to best help accommodate your daughter’s needs. One solution is Disability Access Service (DAS), which provides Guests with a return time for attractions, so they don’t have to spend that time waiting in the standard line queue. If you’d prefer to chat with a Cast Member ahead of time, you’re welcome to contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547.

It sounds like your daughter’s favorite Character is the loveable, always entertaining Goofy! My children are also obsessed with his silly antics! I recommend making a reservation for Goofy’s Kitchen, located at the Disneyland Hotel, for a Character Dining experience to remember! Your daughter will get to enjoy a more personal experience meeting Goofy at this special setting. Another fun spot to meet Goofy is at Goofy’s Playhouse in Mickey’s Toontown. Goofy typically enjoys meet-and-greets in front of his Playhouse throughout the day.

Last but not least, be sure to ask for a complimentary birthday button for your daughter at Guest Relations. This way, all the Characters she encounters will be sure to pass along extra birthday wishes to her!

Please stop by with any additional questions, Gilberto, and I’d be happy to help! Wishing you and your daughter a day filled with magic and laughter!
