My daughter has a disability and we need a guide

Greetings, and welcome to planDisney, Jill!

Disneyland Resort, in an effort to afford all Guests an inclusive and enjoyable experience offers many thoughtfully put together Services for Guests with Disabilities that present many accommodations for people during their visit.

One accommodation in particular, for Guests whose disability presents difficulties tolerating lengthy waits at attraction queues, is the Disability Access Service, or the DAS, as commonly referred to. When we use this accommodation for my severely autistic son, we take him to a quieter area to relax or grab a bite to eat while we wait for our return time.

Registering for the DAS can be done either during your visit to Disneyland Park by consulting with a friendly Cast Member at City Hall, Chamber of Commerce or a Guest Information location. Or, you can register with DAS Advance which is a virtual consultation that can be done from the comfort of your home from 2 days to 30 days before your arrival. During your virtual consultation, you will be able to book up to 2 DAS Advance arrival windows for each day of your theme park admission. Please ensure that your precious daughter is present to meet with a Cast Member for a very friendly greet whether you are registering in-person, or virtually through the DAS Advance registration.

A convenient feature of the DAS is that Guests registered for the DAS, or members of their travel party can self-select arrival windows for attractions using the Disneyland App but the Guest registered for the DAS must be present when ready to board the attraction.

Jill, I highly recommend a consultation for the DAS, and also please consider the Disney Genie+ Lighting Lane Entrance which will save you time waiting in lines. Plus, purchasing the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Entrance will offer you unlimited digital downloads of Disney’s PhotoPass® Service attraction photos and the fun Magic Shots from your day!

Lastly, Jill, there is always a personalized touring experience with the Disneyland Resort VIP Tour, which may be an option in consideration of your daughter. This is a private service offering you a personal concierge level of attention to meet your needs.

I wish you the happiest visit to Disneyland Resort, Jill, best wishes!
