Hey there, Alyssa! Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney. I am pleased to help you learn more about
Disability Access Service (DAS) at
Disneyland Resort.
I love so many things about Disneyland Resort, including the effort and care that goes into making the vacation experience special and inclusive for every Guest. The DAS program is designed for Guests like your daughter who have difficulty waiting in line for extended periods of time. Though it doesn’t provide immediate access to attractions, you are able to schedule return times which will reduce your time spent in queues significantly.
Through the
DAS Advance feature, you can
request a video chat 2-30 days in advance of your arrival. Your daughter needs to be present for the chat. If you are deemed eligible for DAS, you can even pre-select two attractions per day of your visit. (You can also request DAS once you arrive at the parks, but I highly recommend using DAS Advance to get things set up before your arrival!)
I love that you can reserve your DAS return times now through the
Disneyland mobile app! This makes it very convenient to manage your day. (Tip – bring a mobile charger with you, as you’ll be using the app quite a bit throughout the day!)
Another tip, from a friend who recently did this - you can use
Disney Genie+ paired with DAS, which will increase the number of attractions you can experience in a day. Genie+ gives you the ability to use
Lightning Lanes for major attractions, which are faster queues, reducing your wait times. For instance, you could make certain selections through DAS and others through Genie+, doubling your cosmic power to experience attractions in a single day.
Alyssa, I hope this information is helpful to you, and I wish you and your daughter a most magical experience at the Happiest Place on Earth!
