Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Jennifer!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thanks for dropping by with a question about your upcoming visit. Can you believe that you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort in just a few weeks? After all that dreaming (and planning!) the almost over! I'm so excited to hear that your daughter has decided to join you during your stay –– if you ask me, there's nothing better than getting to enjoy your
Disney Vacation Club Membership with your whole family!
I'm sorry that you're having trouble adding
Disney Park Pass reservations for your daughter that match your existing plans –– I know how frustrating it can be when you need to modify your plans during a very busy time, like Thanksgiving week, when availability is really limited. While there isn't a way to add an additional person to your existing theme park reservations once the available reservations for that park are gone, I have a few suggestions that might be able to help. First, be sure to keep checking for Disney Park Pass reservations as your visit gets closer. Availability changes all the time, as people modify their existing plans, so it isn't unusual to see reservations pop up at different times.
The second thing you might want to consider is adding the
Park Hopper Option to your daughter's ticket if you haven't already done so. This will allow her to jump to a different park at 2 PM EST, without making an additional Disney Park Pass reservation (subject to park capacity limits). That means that even if your daughter can't secure a reservation for the same park as you, she should be able to join you at the park once that Park Hopping window opens. However, the one thing you'll want to keep in mind is that in order to Park Hop, she needs to tap into the park where she made the reservation first. For instance, if your daughter has a reservation for
Disney's Hollywood Studios, but would like to join you at
EPCOT, she can head to Hollywood Studios to enter the park before jumping on
Disney Skyliner to enter EPCOT from the International Gateway entrance beginning at 2 PM.
While I know this might not be a perfect solution, it still offers her a way to join in on the fun in the event that she can't secure a reservation for the same park. Also, keep in mind that you don't have to upgrade her ticket to the Park Hopper option before your visit –– it can be done at any Walt Disney World theme park ticketing window or
Guest Relations location once you arrive at Walt Disney World. This means that you can keep searching for Disney Park Pass reservations until your vacation begins and only employ the Park Hopper strategy as a last resort, if necessary. Just know that if you decide to upgrade to a Park Hopper, it will be added to each day of your visit –– the Park Hopper Option can't be added to just one day of admission on a multi-day ticket.
I hope this helps you find a solution, Jennifer, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney. I'm wishing you and your family lots of pixie dust during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
