Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Luisa!
Your daughter’s Rapunzel-long hair sounds gorgeous, and I hope she has the most wonderful time “running and racing and dancing and chasing” on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It’s coming up SO soon!
My son had a magical haircut at Harmony Barber Shop last year. We were so pleased with how warm and friendly the Cast Members there are, and they did a great job with my son’s difficult hair. He was grinning from ear to ear the whole time – the whole experience was music to my ears!
I just checked the hours for Harmony Barber Shop, and it’s currently open 9:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. on January 13, 2020 (hours are always subject to change). You can use the “Check Availability” button on
Harmony Barber Shop’s web page to search appointment times; when you click the button, you’ll be asked to log in to your
My Disney Experience account in order to make the reservation. I just checked and found a couple of appointment times in the afternoon of the 13th, and I’m sending you pixie dust that you’re able to find a time for your little Rapunzel! If you don’t find a time right away, my advice is to keep checking, as you never know when someone might cancel.
Luisa, another option is to book an appointment at one of Walt Disney World Resort’s salons for a haircut for your daughter.
This list of Disney salons and spas can get you started in finding a location that lines up with where you’re staying or your visit plans. One of my bucket list items is a spa treatment during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation; I have several friends who have visited the salons and spas on property and they have all shared glowing reviews.
It would be fun to stop by
Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park for a photo with Rapunzel while your daughter still has her long locks. You could even take an “after” photo near the Tangled restroom area (it’s really beautiful) beside
“it’s a small world” – that area is especially gorgeous at twilight, when Rapunzel’s floating lanterns are gleaming overhead.
I hope your princess gets the royal treatment during her fairytale haircut, Luisa!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
