My daughter is currently bottle feeding and when we sanitize the bottles and pumping devices, we use a microwave and sanitizing container. I have looked into Disney Value resorts and do not see a microwave listed. Is it possible to request a portable one?

    Hi Matthew,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations to your family on the arrival of your new Mouseketeer. I was a pumping momma for a full year with each of my kiddos, so I know just what it’s like to be thinking about all the logistics around pumping, sanitizing, and storing my pump and supplies. I have lots of information to share so you can get down to the business of having fun and making magical memories with your daughter!

You won’t find a microwave in any of the standard resort rooms at Walt Disney World Resort. You will, however, find microwaves in the resort Quick-Service dining locations. You may also be able to request a microwave in your room by calling Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-1936 and letting them know you need the microwave for sterilizing medical equipment. Requests cannot be guaranteed, but it’s worth asking.

If you’d like a microwave to be a standard amenity in your room, I’d suggest looking into a Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, a Family Suite at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, or a studio room in one of Disney’s Deluxe Villa Resorts. I still recommend checking with a Reservations Cast Member at the time of booking to be sure microwaves are found in the room category you reserve.

Matthew, you’ll also find microwaves in the Baby Care Centers in each theme park. Baby Care Centers are wonderful places for pumping and nursing mothers; you’ll find comfortable chairs, outlets, microwaves, and a variety of supplies for purchase. You are also welcome to stop by to feed your baby her bottle in a quiet, cool setting.

You are going to make so many magical memories with your new little one at Walt Disney World Resort! As you do your planning, take a look at our Planning Guide for Parents of Preschoolers & Little Ones, and come on back and see us if we can help with your Disney dreaming. Be sure to stop for lots of photos with your Mouseketeer so you can capture those special moments, and enjoy every moment!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
