Hi Donna,
It's always great to see you planning Disney at planDisney. There's more to do than can ever be done at Walt Disney World Resort, but that doesn't stop us from trying, right?! It sounds like you may be enjoying
The World's Most Magical Celebration as we speak; be sure to maximize the magic of your Memory Maker purchase by asking Disney PhotoPass photographers about 50th Anniversary Celebration Magic Shots. The Confetti Magic Shot is my personal favorite and can be found at all four theme parks.
You've correctly diagnosed the problem you're experiencing when trying to view your Disney PhotoPass images, Donna.
Memory Maker is linked to an individual in My Disney Experience and only that individual can view and download unwatermarked photos online or in the
My Disney Experience app (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Photos). I've handled this exact situation in a couple of different ways, which you may find helpful.
A couple of years ago, my family purchased Memory Maker with a military discount and the purchase was linked to my father-in-law's My Disney Experience account. When I wanted to view and download our vacation photos, I logged into his account. On a more recent trip, our family's Memory Maker purchase was linked to my account. I downloaded all of our vacation photos at the end of each day and added them to a shared album so that everyone could see them.
When viewing Disney PhotoPass media on your daughter's account, make sure the filter is set to "View All" under
Family & Friends so images linked to both of your accounts are visible. Memory Maker lets you download the photos of up to 25 members of your
Family & Friends and includes all of your vacation photos taken within 30 days of activation. Kindly note that vacation photos expire 45 days after they're taken, so be sure to download them before the proverbial clock strikes midnight.
I hope you and your daughter have a picture-perfect vacation, Donna!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
