Hi there, T'aira! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for sending us a question.
I'm a Pom Mom and my daughter just competed at a Nationals competition this past weekend in Orlando, so I can understand wanting to plan some time at Walt Disney World Resort. I'm happy to help with the theme park details of your daughter's visit! We had the same experience where my daughter had a multi-day park hopper ticket and we added
Genie+. Let's talk about how to do this. First, if your daughter has a mobile device, download the
My Disney Experience app. Then, tap the three bars in the bottom right corner and select "Tickets and Passes." Next, tap the plus sign in the upper right corner and select, "Link Tickets & Passes." Once your daughter's ticket has been linked, it will appear in this area. At 12:01 a.m. on the day you would like for your daughter to have Genie+ for her theme park day, you can go into the My Disney Experience app and purchase it. At 7:00 a.m., she can make her first Genie+ attraction selection. She can then make her next selection 120 minutes later, or when she has gone on the attraction, whichever comes first. If there is a day that your daughter is competing and won't be able to arrive at the theme park until later, you could still purchase Genie+, however, that might not be as advantageous.
Another tip I have for you is to make sure your daughter has a
Disney Park Pass Reservation for each day that she would like to visit a theme park. You can check the availability
here for the type of ticket she has.
Wishing your daughter and her team the best of luck at the competition! Please visit us again at
planDisney if you need help planning future Disney vacations.
Smiles,
Lisa
