Welcome to planDisney, Jessica!
What a special opportunity for your daughter to be a part of the magic in a band event at the
Walt Disney World Resort! Seeing her “marchin’ right down the middle of down Main Street, U.S.A.” will absolutely be a dream come true for your husband. I understand your frustration in not having theme park ticket details to finalize plans – it’s not easy when one instrument is out of tune, but let’s focus on what we can control and get you set up for success! You’ll be playing in harmony again in no time.
First, be sure your husband has downloaded the
My Disney Experience app and
linked your daughter to his Family & Friends list to manage her plans.
You can
make dining reservations now (no theme park ticket needed) on the Walt Disney World website or in the My Disney Experience app. I suggest you search by party size and date for broader availability and stay flexible for possibilities outside traditional mealtimes. A recent dining policy change allows Guests to cancel a reservation within two hours, so be sure to check often – you never what surprises may pop up! Within the app you can also
join a walk-up list for many restaurants. You’ll be dancing in the streets like Louis the alligator playing his trumpet with triumph when you snag a much-coveted table.
Don’t forget to use
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering for quick service meals and snacks. My best tip is to plan ahead by placing your order before the busy mealtimes; you can always adjust your arrival window as plans change. Your food is freshly prepared when you click “I’m here” so being one step ahead of the beat is a smart approach.
Strike up the band, Jessica! Good news, you no longer need to reserve attractions in advance;
Disney Genie Service is here to make all those lower wait time wishes come true. I suggest you
become familiar with this tool to decide if purchasing Genie+ is right for your family. You can purchase Genie+ on each park day and make your first attraction selection beginning at 7:00a.m. Check out my panel pal
Prince’s great guidance.
If you make it to EPCOT, don’t miss a chance to save the galaxy aboard Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! My friend
Elaine has some fabulous advice on how to best enjoy this out-of-this-world coaster, my absolute favorite attraction, with low wait times.
Please know that you will need your theme park ticket linked to My Disney Experience and a
theme park reservation to keep moving forward with Genie+ and virtual queues.
I know this may feel like a lot to pull together, but it takes many individual sounds to make harmony under the sea:
“The newt play the flute
The carp play the harp
The plaice play the bass
And they soundin’ sharp”
Wishing you a practically perfect trip,
Amy
