My daughter and I are coming to WDW in April. We've had gastric bypass surgery and eat small meals. We plan to share table service meals. The Dining Plan is in our vacation package. Do signature restaurants allow sharing when using the dining plan?

    Hiya Alice,

Welcome to planDisney ! My favorite thing about visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth is, without doubt, dining. I’m always in awe of the incredible choices, and I often go home wanting to either schedule another trip to visit or try to recreate the meal at home because it is that good.

While the food is yummy, the other thing that Walt Disney World Resort does well is in large portions, so I completely understand wanting to share meals, especially in your particular circumstances, Alice. Since you mentioned that you and your daughter had the Disney Dining Plan, I wanted to confirm with a Cast Member the guidelines for sharing meals at Fine/Signature and Table-Service locations. You and your daughter are welcome to share a meal at any à la carte dining location (any dining location without a prix fixe menu, including select Signature dining experiences). You would only be credited for one meal credit for a table service meal or two at table-service meal credits at Fine/Signature dining experiences, total, should you choose to do this, not per person. As a reminder, if you choose to dine at a table-service location that offers a buffet or family-style meal, you will be charged 1 credit per person, even if you are sharing a plate.

I hope this was helpful, Alice. If you still need additional assistance, please come back and see us. Before I let you go, since you mentioned you were planning to share meals, I wanted to remind you that a Fine/Specialty dining meal would include 1 entrée, 1 nonalcoholic beverage (or 1 alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 and older), and 1 dessert. A general table-service breakfast would include 1 entrée and 1 beverage. If you need an extra drink, you will be charged for it separately (the same with gratuities), since the dining plan for one meal covers only one beverage. You can either charge this to your room or pay with cash, credit/debit cards, or Disney Gift Cards! I hope you both have an amazing trip together!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
