Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Deanna.
Congratulations to your daughter and your daughter's team for making it to Worlds. That is such a big accomplishment. My daughter is also an all-star cheerleader and I know just how hard those girls work to make it to those types of competitions. In fact, my daughter is also competing in a competition at
Walt Disney World in May.
Because we've been to quite a few cheerleading competitions at Walt Disney World over the years, I kind of have a good feel for how they all work and operate now. For the competition itself, you'll only need an
ESPN World Wide of Sports entry ticket that you can purchase through the event company itself. You can typically purchase these the day of, that way if your team doesn't advance to the next day's competition you aren't out any additional money. That's really all you will need to see your daughter compete. Now, if you wish to visit the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks in addition to the competition, you will need to purchase tickets to do that. Typically you'll have a link for your team through the event company to purchase additional theme park tickets for your athlete's family. This can be a 1 day or a multi-day ticket. Keep in mind that you don't have to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, it's just an additional option if you would like. After you've purchased your Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets you'll then link them to your
MyDisneyExperience account. After that, you'll need to make park pass reservations for a particular theme park you'd like to visit each day. Once all of that is done, you are all set for a magical Walt Disney World vacation
I'm sending your daughter and her team all of the pixie dust, Deanna. If you have other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Good luck!
Jackie H.
