Hey there, Allison. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
A chEARleading competition at Walt Disney World is so much fun. My daughter has competed at the
ESPN World Wide of Sports complex for the last few years and we always enjoy it.
Allison, before you buy your park hopper tickets, I suggest speaking with your team's coaching staff to see what they prefer for the competition weekend. I know that some teams don't allow their kids to go to the theme parks until after the competition and some teams don't allow it only on days when they are competing. Then, you have some teams with complete flexibility with what they allow park-wise. Because
Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets are non-refundable, these are conversations to have with your program before you purchase your tickets.
If your program is okay with you visiting the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks, I really recommend it. It adds another level of fun and magic to the competition weekend. If you purchase park hopper tickets, keep in mind that you'll also need to make
park pass reservations for the first theme park you'd like to visit each day. I would do this as soon as you purchase your tickets because days will fill up fast with so many people visiting with the competition. On the day of, you'll need to visit the theme park with the park pass reservation first. Then, park hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m. So after that, you are welcome to visit any or all of the other theme parks for the rest of the day.
I hope this helps give you some guidance, Allison. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Good luck!
Jackie H.
