Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelly! I traveled with my best friend who is not only Gluten Free but also Dairy Free in the fall, and we found lots of treats and enjoyable meals for the both of us.
You’ll find snacks that meet the Disney Dining Plan around every corner. You’ll simply look for the white and purple Disney Dining Plan logo on any menu and match up your credits. I can tell you that we found a bevy of gluten free treats, drinks and even baked goods at
Terra Treat Stand in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can use a few snack credits on the muffins, which travel well in a backpack. When you visit any restaurant on Walt Disney World Property, ask the Cast Member at the door for an allergy menu. You’ll find a special Gluten Free section on the menu of all the meals and dishes, and you’ll have the opportunity to speak with an allergy trained chef at any time. Of course, you’re looking for specific gluten free treats, and want to avoid any confusion that may occur if you don’t have a menu or chef handy, you may need to contact the
Special Diets inbox at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days before your arrival. They will be able to advise you further as to the many snack stands and outdoor kitchens.
Another tip my friend used for her snack breaks in the park was to research some items beforehand like the fresh fruit packs at Liberty Square Marketplace and the beloved pineapple
Dole Whip in Adventureland. AllergyFriendlyMouse.com also has a great list and resources for you and your daughter as you eat your way across the Resort. Please let me know if you need more help. I’m hEAR for you! ~ Lindsey P.
