My daughter and I are celebrating her graduation from high school with a 4 day trip to WDW. Do you have any special ideas or is there anything she can wear to indicate she's a graduate? Also are Mickey and Minnie dressed differently at different parks?

  • Hi Malinda,

Congratulations to your daughter for this achievement and life milestone! I happen to be also planning a celebration trip to Walt Disney World for my own daughter when she graduates in 2017 ~ great minds think alike!

There are so many ways to celebrate at Walt Disney World and one of the most iconic ways is to give your daughter a set of graduation ears to wear from Disney Floral and Gift. You even have the option of personalizing her ears with a name or message if you like. In the link to Disney Floral and Gift you will notice there are many other graduation ideas and tailored gifts you can present to your daughter to make this celebration especially memorable.

You will be happy to know that my boss and his sweetie have an extensive array of outfits for every occasion. You might say he is a bit of a clotheshorse. Just a short time ago I was admiring Mickey and Minnie's safari outfits when I stopped by for a hug and photo at the Adventurers Outpost at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Since Mickey and Minnie are quite the celebrities with their own fan following, I have noticed several unofficial Disney fan sites post updates on where to meet them (and other Disney character celebrities) as well as list their outfits. has a list of Walt Disney World character locations if you are interested in looking up Mickey and Minnie's latest locations and outfits.

Here's to celebrating our daughters! I wish you and your daughter many magical memories and if you have any further questions about your vacation planning please stop by and visit us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
