Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Christhel. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to see that you'll be arriving at the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few, short days! There's no place I'd rather be, that's for sure.
I'm sorry to hear your daughter has a cast on her arm. As Winnie the Pooh would say, "Oh, bother!" Collecting signatures on her cast from beloved Disney Characters would be so special, but unfortunately, Characters are currently only greeting Guests from a safe distance. This means that hugs and autographs are unavailable for the time being. But not to fret! I have an idea. Pack a permanent marker (and maybe a few backups too) and make a game out of spotting Characters. For every Character your daughter sees, add that Character's name to her cast. She may not be able to collect their autographs, but she can certainly add
character to her cast by filling it with the names of the Characters she sees throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!
Traditional Character meet-and-greet experiences had been temporarily paused as part of Disney's phased reopening process, but recently, several have reopened like
Princess Fairytale Hall,
Disney Junior Pals in Animation Courtyard, and
Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater. Be sure to use
Disney Genie Service on the
My Disney Experience mobile app to find the best time of day to visit these locations!
As you're beginning to pack your bags, don't forget to pack something to keep your daughter's cast covered on the you-may-get-wet attractions, like
Splash Mountain. Packing a poncho or even a plastic bag will keep her cast nice and dry!
I hope this was helpful, Christhel. I'm wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Ashley
