Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan! It’s nice to see you here again.
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up THIS month! I’m also counting down to a November Disney visit, and I know just how excited you’re getting. I just love
visiting during the holidays, when there is so much merry magic in the air!
Susan, it’s my understanding that the cards given out after gastric bypass surgery, requesting that Guests be allowed to pay a child’s price at a buffet, are not accepted at the Walt Disney World Resort. My advice is to contact the
Special Diets team via email at special.diets@DisneyWorld.com. I’ve met with Cast Members from this team, and they are truly committed to helping Guests with special dietary needs find options they can safely eat, so they can focus on what’s really important: having fun with family. They will likely advise your daughter of what options may be available for your daughter beyond the offerings on the buffet at
Liberty Tree Tavern, and let her know that she can always request to speak with a chef. I do also recommend speaking with your server at Liberty Tree Tavern and presenting the card, as it never hurts to ask.
I hope you and your daughter have the happiest holiday together at the Walt Disney World Resort later this month! One of my very favorite things to do at this time of year is visit the
Christmas Tree Trail in Disney Springs, which is a lovely walk through a series of Christmas trees decorated in all kinds of Disney-related themes. It’s absolutely enchanting! For more information about special holiday offerings, be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
