Welcome to planDisney, April. It's so nice that you found your way here to us to ask your question.
If your daughter wants to upgrade her Disney Pixie Dust Pass to the Disney Pirate Pass, she would indeed need to pay the difference between the 2 passes at the time she upgrades. While that may not be the answer you were hoping for, her monthly payments for the current Annual Pass term would remain the same. Please note that her expiration date will also remain the same as the one tied to the original pass and when it's time to renew, if she decides to renew at the same level of pass to which she upgrades, her monthly payment plan will reflect the higher price (prices are subject to change). Be sure to check out the
Disney Annual Pass Terms & Conditions for more details.
Being a Florida Resident not only means you are closer to the magic, but you currently get access to 3 Annual Passes not available to anyone else. Furthermore, you get access to the
Monthly Payment Program in the first place, which is a huge benefit. Plus, there are usually
exclusive offers for Florida residents and
benefits for Annual Passholders as well! It certainly pays to live in the Sunshine State and I'm sure the
Orange Bird himself would wholeheartedly agree!
April, I hope your daughter enjoys a year of magic that can only be found at the
Walt Disney World Resort. If you (or your daughter) have any other questions,
I'm happy to get the answers for you!
If you do your best each and every day, good things are sure to come your way,
Matt
