My daughter bought some park tickets for an upcoming visit. She received some cards in the mail for each ticket. They look like credit cards. What are these cards used for?

Welcome to planDisney, Dennis! I'm so pleased to hear that your daughter has a trip to Walt Disney World Resort coming up later this week, and hopefully, you get to join in on the fun as well. I have the answer to your question, so let's jump right in and chat about your daughter's magical mail!

Dennis, those plastic cards are your Theme Park tickets! You can hold them up to the ticket readers to enter the Theme Parks and also use them at Lightning Lane entrances if you're choosing to use Disney Genie+ service. If you don't want to keep those tickets with you, you have a few more options for entering the Theme Parks. First, you can purchase a MagicBand+, which is a piece of wearable tech that you wear on your wrist that connects to your admission information so you can just tap it at the readers instead of pulling out your ticket every time you need to use it. You can also load your ticket to Disney MagicMobile, which will attach your admission to your phone's mobile wallet. Instead of using your ticket card, you can just hold up your phone to the reader. No unlocking is required, it just pops up like magic!

I hope this answers your question, Dennis, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
