Hi Kathy!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I always find the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is best enjoyed with the ones we love, and it sounds like you have an absolutely wonderful trip ahead of you.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is full of character. . .literally! From the moment you arrive, you'll be swept into some of your favorite animated stories. My youngest really enjoyed visiting the Radiator Springs area of the resort, featuring some of his favorite friends from Cars and a
pool area inspired by the Cozy Cone Motel!
Kathy, I'm happy to share that the standard rooms at Art of Animation can sleep up to four Guests plus one child under the age of three. This means that you should be within the room capacity for your daughter to add your husband to her existing reservation. On the
Walt Disney World website, she can view her current reservation in
"My Plans and Tickets" under her My Disney Experience account. She may see an option to modify her room reservation online and add a Guest; however, I often prefer to
call Tickets and Hotel Reservations for assistance from a Cast Member. They'll be able to confirm that the changes can be made to your current reservation, and that any special offers or discounts previously used or currently available are applied appropriately.
As you're making this update for your reservation, you may want to consider checking out the
Family Suites available at Art of Animation Resort. These spacious suites feature multiple sleeping areas, two full bathrooms, and additional space that larger families often find helpful!
Don't forget that your stay at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection includes more than just a great room and wonderful resort amenities.
Resort Guests enjoy many other benefits, including advanced booking windows for
Lightning Lane Passes and
dining reservations,
Early Theme Park Entry, and
complimentary resort transportation - just to name a few! If the little ones in your family are anything like my kids, they'll be excited to start each day of their Disney vacation, which is why Early Theme Park Entry is one of our favorite perks. The extra thirty minutes each morning gives us a chance to experience one or two of our "must-do" attractions before the day even officially begins!
I hope this information has been helpful, Kathy, and that you enjoy making many magical memories with your family later this year! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
Cheers,
Kristi
