Hi Nathan,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m BOW excited to hear that your daughter is planning to
#RockTheDots in a classic Minnie Mouse costume for
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Minnie is such a style icon, and you are going to capture so many fantastic photos of your daughter dressed as the Queen herself.
The
Minnie Dot Package was a really fun option that included a polka-dotted tutu, bow t-shirt shirt, and the cutest hairstyle with two buns that look like Minnie ears. I'm not sure if that package is still available, and you may have a dress or costume in mind already, but I bet the Fairy Godmothers-in-Training at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique could work with your vision to create the perfect look. I recommend calling (407) WDW-STYLE to ask about possible Minnie hairstyles. They are truly magic-makers, and I feel confident that they’ll be able to design the perfect Minnie hairstyle. My thinking is: if they can work around a princess tiara, they can surely work around a set of mouse ears, and I bet they’d have fun doing it.
Here's a costume pro tip: sometimes, a Minnie or Mickey costume involves a dab of black makeup on the nose. In my experience, those party nights can be pretty hot and sweaty, so look for a waterproof black makeup stick that you can throw in your bag for touch-ups. It really completes the look, but an itchy nose and streaky black hands are not magical!
Nathan, be sure to stop for a photo with Minnie herself after your Mouseketeer has her magical makeover. My family always stops to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse on our Walt Disney World Resort vacations – they are so fun to meet, give the best hugs and kisses, and saying “cheese” with them makes for the perfect photo keepsake. Be sure to say hi to my pals for me!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
