Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Becky! Thanks for bringing us such a great question.
I’m thrilled to learn you are planning a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort soon. I hope you are getting as excited as I am typing this! Have you started locking in all your
dining reservations? Remember you can begin making those as early as 180-days in advance.
Becky, you are correct. On
Disney’s Dining Plans, guests age 10 and up are considered adults. With a picky eater of my own, I understand your concern. But Hakuna Matata! You will be able to work around this thanks to all the wonderful options offered throughout the resort.
When dining at a Table Service Restaurant that serves meals à la carte, you will be able to customize your order to redeem only the credits for those eating at the time. So, if you wish to feed your princess her favorites prior to your meal, you can certainly do so. Do keep in mind that when you visit buffets and family style Table Service Restaurants, each guest present will be charged the credits the restaurant requires. But in my experience, buffets and those family style served meals have enough options to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
As you continue planning your magical vacation, be sure to
browse the menus online so you know what to expect before you arrive and you can plan accordingly. And I don’t recommend doing this on an empty stomach. It might lead to grumblies in your tumblies.
Thanks again for stopping by! Be sure to come back and see us again soon.
TTFN- Ta-ta for now!
