My daughter has autism and peeled her magic band to childsize without me knowing. Now it doesnt fit. Is there anyway to replace without breaking the bank again?

Hiya, Linzi, and welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit will be here in just a few weeks, so I hope you're ready to book your dining reservations and any Enchanting Extras you're considering. Your 60-day booking window will open soon, so I'm wishing you luck at getting all the activities your family is dreaming of! I recently took the Up Close with Rhinos tour at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, which was a highlight of my trip. I bet your daughter would love this tour. She might even get to touch an actual rhinoceros! Now let's talk about some options for her MagicBand.

Linzi, I spoke to a helpful Cast Member who told me that once that outer layer of any MagicBand has been peeled away, there are no refunds or exchanges. I'm not sure what type of MagicBand your daughter has, but some third-party vendors sell "puck holders." You should be able to pop out the center puck of her band and place it in one of these holders to be carried like a key chain or necklace. Just search for MagicBand holders or tags online to see what you can find. Your daughter can help choose the design!

Another idea is to snap the band closed at its smallest point and attach it to a backpack or lanyard. And you can also request a card to use as a theme park ticket at any Guest Services window. She could carry the card that way if she has a cute lanyard. Remember, using a card ticket will not open your resort door or keep track of any Lightning Lane entrances. You can also request a card to use as a room key for her and manage her Lightning Lanes through your account.

True story, Linzi: My 20-something son lost his MagicBand a few days ago when we visited Magic Kingdom Park. Sometimes I think he's like Peter Pan and will never grow up! But these things happen to all of us, and in his case, he was able to use Disney MagicMobile Service by adding his theme park ticket to his phone's wallet feature. He could then use his phone to open our Disney Resort Hotel door, gain park entry, and scan into Lightning Lane entrances. If your daughter has a mobile phone, she could use this feature instead of a MagicBand, and it doesn't cost a penny.

Linzi, I know your family will have a magical visit soon, and please stop by planDisney anytime. I'd love to do anything to make your vacation practically perfect!

    Magic awaits,
