Welcome to
planDisney, Amy!
Thanks for stopping by with your question. You must be so excited that your special evening with your daughter at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is almost here. Let's talk about arrival procedures for this spook-tacular event.
I'm happy you'll be using
Disability Access Service during your trip. If you haven't already, please also review the
Accessibility Planning Guide & Recommendations. Even if you visit the theme parks often, you might learn something new in this updated, comprehensive guide. Unfortunately, there is no way to bypass the queues to enter
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. You must line up at one of the designated entry points to scan your tickets and receive your event bracelet. Because ticket holders can access
Magic Kingdom Park beginning at 4 PM, and the party festivities start at 7 PM, you'll encounter heavy crowds near the park entrance between 3:30 and 4:30 and again around 6:30. I recommend arriving between 5 and 5:30 to avoid the peak entry times.
While party attendance is capped by limited ticket sales, there are still times you may encounter crowds, especially when viewing popular entertainment. Here are a few tips to minimize stress and have a more pleasant experience.
*There are typically two showings of Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade, and designated, accessible viewing areas are available. They are first come, first served, and whether or not you use them, the second parade will almost always be less crowded. I like to watch the second parade from Frontierland, where I generally have plenty of space and a great view.
*Guests of all ages are permitted to wear Halloween costumes to this event, but as a resident of the Sunshine State, you know how warm it still is even in the evenings in August, so plan your outfits accordingly!
*DAS is not available for character meet-and-greets, so if these are important to you, choose one or two must-see Disney friends and try to visit them as soon as the party begins or just before it ends for the shortest lines.
*Check out the Disney Parks Blog's
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Foodie Guide to select a few treats you want to try. Note the locations offering
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering to minimize wait times for snacks.
I hope this is helpful, Amy. Best wishes for a wonderful evening with your sweet daughter. If there is anything else Disney can do to make your adventure even more memorable, don't hesitate to reach out again. Thanks again for visiting us, and have a magical day!
