Heigh-ho Amanda, it's off to
Disneyland Resort you go!
You must be so excited that it's almost time to
return to a land of magic. I love the vibe of the Disney Parks during Olaf's favorite season. There is palpable excitement in the air as families begin to enjoy summer vacation together. That being said, I know this can be a challenging time of year to wear a face covering for long periods of time, so I understand your concern.
During the current phase of reopening, Guests must wear an approved face mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking in a stationary, physically distant location. While you are permitted to wear a face shield in addition to a face mask, the mask portion is required, and there are no exceptions to the rule at this time.
I encourage you to monitor the
Disney Parks Blog and
Experience Updates page as the public health guidelines evolve. You never know when current protocols may change. I also recommend trying several styles of masks to see if any work better for your daughter. You might find that with the right mask and plenty of breaks for stationary eating and drinking, she may do just fine. I also suggest making
dining reservations; a relaxing table-service meal is a great way to take a break from her mask.
I know everyone has different needs, Amanda, and if wearing a face covering proves to be an impossible task, you might need to consider postponing your visit until they are no longer required in the Disneyland Resort. I do hope everything goes well for you, and your family enjoys a joyful return to the Happiest Place on Earth whenever the time is right. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and hopefully we'll see ya real soon!
