Hey Howdy Hey, Michael!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your excellent question. Michael, as a
Disney Vacation Club Member for over 20 years, I have loved all of the
Member Extras and benefits included for eligible Members. Not only has Membership afforded us dream family vacations year after year, but the added savings have added even more pixie dust to our pockets!
Michael, while eligible Members receive access to the Member Extras and benefits, including discounts on tickets, tours, shopping, dining, events, and experiences, unfortunately, Associate Members do not. I looked up the
Membership rights and privileges page on the Disney Vacation Club website. It notes that An Associate - the person named by the Purchaser(s) - is only authorized to make reservations using the DVC Member's Home Resort Vacation Points. However, unfortunately, Associates do not receive Membership Cards and are not entitled to the benefits or privileges available to the DVC Member(s) on the account. Only the eligible Purchaser(s) receive Membership Cards and are eligible for the benefits and discounts.
Additionally, Michael, recently, Disney Vacation Club moved to the
Digital Member Card and as of December 31, 2021,
no longer accepts the blue card for discounts or proof of Membership. We have had to show our Digital Member Card and a photo ID on recent visits to Disney parks to receive the benefits at most locations. So even if your daughter has the blue card, it likely wouldn't be accepted.
If your daughter is an Annual Pass Holder, she is eligible for those discounts. If you are traveling with her, and are an eligible Member, you would be able to take advantage of any DVC Member benefits and discounts.
I wish I had better news for you, Michael. If I can help you with any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see me here and I'll be so happy to help you because you've got a friend in me.
Happy Trails,
Keri
