Carol from NY Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My daughter is arriving at Orlando Airport to join us for our stay at the Polynesian the end of October. The plane arrives at 3:45, and we all have reservations (non-refundable) for the luau at 6:00. If late, will late arrivals be seated?

Aloha Carol! I recently stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and I fell in love with it. The whole ambiance is so detailed that it just transports you into another culture. It really feels as if you are on a secluded Polynesian island somewhere out in the Pacific. I especially loved the tiki torches that lined the pathways at nighttime and the white sand beach.

It usually takes anywhere from 40 to 70 minutes to ride Disney's Magical Express from the Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Since the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort you won't need to build in any additional travel time, so I think that your daughter will actually make it on time for the dining reservation. However, if for some reason she does not make it on time, she will likely still be accommodated. In my past experience with arriving late to dining reservations, Cast Members have been understanding and willing to help in any way that they can. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

If you need anything else, please let us know. Have a magical stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and be sure to try the macadamia pancakes from Kona Cafe. Delicious!
